The main reason for the client was to overcome load shedding events and to reduce cost. Although Eskom is still present as backup power supply, significant savings are made now that the solar system provides the garage, coffee shop, offices and kitchen with reliable renewable energy. Eskom will only be used as backup power supply and a generator is connected as redundant alternative backup option.
